Twenty Nine Ninety Eight

Twenty Nine Ninety Eight: A Collection of Blends for the Intellectually Bent

A series of 4 kinds of tea, each featuring a different literary heroine. The idea was to combat the idea of the domesticity of tea and women by creating fictional tea blends themed on with strong, intelligent female literary characters:

Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter (© JK Rowling)
Alice from Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol
Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
and Mary Poppins by P. L. Travers (© The Walt Disney Company)

The name comes from the geographic coordinates of the place where tea was first discovered (28 N, 98 E).

The packages are made from watercolour paper.

Logo Sketches
The final logo was simpe type set in Perpetua keeping in line with the literary theme of the product.

I experimented with a few different illustration styles before deciding on the one below.
